What is stade de martyrs?

Stade de Martyrs is a multi-purpose stadium located in the Lingwala district of Kinshasa, the capital city of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was originally built in 1994 as a replacement for the old Stade Tata Raphael and renovated in 2015. The stadium has a seating capacity of 80,000 people and is one of the largest stadiums in Africa. It is primarily used for football matches and is the home stadium for the national team of the Democratic Republic of Congo as well as several local clubs such as TP Mazembe. The stadium has also hosted a number of other events including music concerts and political rallies. Additionally, some major international football matches and tournaments have also been held at the Stade de Martyrs.
